Erica Yamileth Rodriguez holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from St. Peter’s University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and Media Studies from
The College of New Jersey. Erica is also a Leadership Fellow of the Union County Nonprofits Consortium in NJ, and an AmeriCorps Volunteer in Service to America
Alumni.

 

Erica has over 8 years of experience coordinating programs and fundraising events for nonprofit agencies that focus on entrepreneurship, housing assistance, and substance use recovery. She is currently in a role where she coordinates research to advance the fields of early relational health, trauma informed care, attachment, resiliency, and substance use recovery. In addition, Erica is the Founder of the Heart & Mind Center of Elizabeth, a mindfulness and meditation center based in Elizabeth, NJ. Heart & Mind’s mission is to
carry out compassionate mindfulness practices that welcome residents from Elizabeth and surrounding communities to harness the power and healing light within
themselves. In the near future, Heart & Mind will host meditation groups for vulnerable communities such as veterans, citizens returning from incarceration, first-generation college students, and social workers working in the social service field.
